You can record and transcribe without an account. An account is only required if you want to use AI-powered summaries, which are available on the Free and Pro plans.

Yes. Wavelogs is free to download with unlimited on-device transcription. The free plan includes 30 minutes per month of AI summaries. Wavelogs Pro unlocks 500 minutes per month for $9.99/month or $79.99/year.

Wavelogs uses advanced on-device speech recognition to transcribe your recordings in real time. Your audio never leaves your device for transcription — everything is processed locally on your iPhone or iPad.

Yes. You can import audio files from your device into Wavelogs. Supported formats include common audio types like M4A and WAV. Imported files can be transcribed and summarized just like recordings made in the app.

Yes. Wavelogs supports Bluetooth audio input. The app automatically adapts to the input sample rate of your connected device to ensure accurate recording and transcription.

When you request a summary, your transcript text is sent to our secure server over an encrypted connection. The summary is generated using AI and returned to your device, where it's stored locally. We do not retain your transcript or summary on our servers.

Wavelogs offers multiple summary styles including concise overviews, detailed breakdowns, and action item extraction. Each style is designed for a different use case — from quick recaps to structured meeting notes.

You can upgrade from within the app. Go to Settings and tap on Wavelogs Pro to see plan options. Pro includes a 7-day free trial, and subscriptions are managed through the App Store.

Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Open the Settings app on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Find Wavelogs and select Cancel Subscription. Your Pro features will remain active until the end of your billing period.

All your recordings, transcripts, and existing summaries remain on your device. You'll return to the free plan limits for new AI summaries, but nothing you've already created is lost.

Make sure Wavelogs has microphone permission enabled in your device Settings. If you're using a Bluetooth device, try disconnecting and reconnecting it. Restarting the app can also resolve temporary issues.

On-device transcription is processor-intensive. If performance is affected, try closing other apps running in the background. The app performs best on iPhone 12 and later or iPad models with A14 chip or newer.
